ExploreMan was taken by his driver to the Shark Mall. I suspect that almost everything is related to a sea creature. By the way, the first picture in the previous blog is - water fountain! Did you get it right?
My favourite, as I am a food person.
Holt Renfrew?
Eau Claire Market? Love the veggie corner!
What is this beside Starbucks? A new type of coffee maker?
Give me a break! (1 K.D. = $3.75 CAN)I'll stop shopping in Canada then.
Nice and quiet...
Sentera Market?
Oh, right!
Food Court...nice...

Don't you like the cool Arabic letters?
Cigar Shop ??
Sharq is rather attractive from the outside... with the marina and cityscape in the backround.
ReplyDeleteOh, really?! Ah…that is nice to know. I love both retail therapy (shopping) and vitamin D therapy (outdoor) with good coffee.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, ExploreMan said that Arabic coffee is really good. Where does Arabic coffee come from then?
Good morning, Polar Panda! You are right; shop in Canada! Anything you might need until your next trip - stock up on. There are things in Kuwait, but not necessarily to your taste or to your size . . . underwear, for example. Your favorite over-the-counter allergy medication.
ReplyDeleteSadly, in most places, you will not want to bike. Kuwait is not bike-friendly. Most of the year, it is also too hot for a bicycle.
The malls are amazing, but for photography - just wait until you see the Mubarakiya, the old market in the center of downtown. Endless photo ops. :-) Near the Sharq Mall, very near. :-)
(This is me, Intlxpatr, but it won't let me comment under my own name as it keeps telling me my credentials cannot be verified :-(
Hey Intlxpatr,
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for the shopping tips. I am relatively new to blogging, I think anyone can comment on my blog. How did Bu Yousef post his? He is using the same blogging domain as yours right?
Hmm…I figured that I might need to stock up things, as I do not see Wal-Mart, K-Mark, The Bay, Target etc. where you can find darn cheap but practical things…..very good advice.
I like those flee market or street market or farmers’ market where you find neat things. Oh, I will go to China to visit my relatives often, so I can shop there too. Maybe you can join me one day??? You never know. We go to an orphanage on a yearly base in March. Maybe you can join me one year??? The orphanage is close to Guilin and Yangshuo (Guang Xi province). You can Google them and see the place. It is beautiful there. My elder son and I will go in March this year for 16 days. Will post some pictures then.
Bye for now…
