Another culture shock I am adjusting is the weekday’s arrangement. Sunday is the first day of a week, so instead of resting in North America, you go to work here in Kuwait. Does it make more sense to you? Friday here is regarded as the worship day and if you travel on Friday, it is not counted as part of your vacation entitlement in a company. Cool?
When I asked ExploreMan for a date to a farm, he said, “It is Friday.” It took me a while to understand that this means “It is Sunday.” (We got to go to a church.)
We found there is a fruit tree in the front yard of the church building. No one knows what it is. The fruit tastes like figs but with only one bigger seed.
