Retreat at home

Looking into the bluish green Arabian Gulf, I sat in front of the living room window, read the devotions and wrote my journals, and I started to count my blessings and praise HIM for HIS might creation. I have to confess that when I was packing and moving for the past six months, I had fear of staying at home and had nothing to accomplish, fear of being discriminated due to my culture, fear of being a woman, fear of the heat and sand storms, fear of the drinking water, fear of losing contacts of my dear friends and fear of everything you name it. I guess that my Lord has answered my numerous prayers (although HE does not need to be reminded) and HE has given me the best and the peace. I am truly thankful and content for what was given to me. The fearful attitudes were taken away by HIS mighty hand.

The Gulf water is beautiful at noon time. (When I am writing, the water has 5 different layers of blues or greens.) I can see fishing boats, yacht and small boats floating on the water. Sometimes I have the weird feeling that I am still in a dream. So I took out my old tri-pot and camera – here you are. Be with me. May God’s peace with you too.
